Naturopathy
WHAT IS THIS ?
Naturopathy is a set of treatment methods aimed at strengthening the body's defenses by means considered natural and biological.
The principle: Diseases are often triggered by an inadequate diet, storage of toxins in the body,
an imbalance of vital energy, deficiencies and poor lifestyle.
The holistic nature, which takes into account the person in their entirety, particularly pushes the therapist to always discover and alleviate the cause: he does not simply seek to cancel the consequences of a symptom, but strives to find the origin of this disorder in order to alleviate it .
The cause can often be found in the notion of balance: imbalances such as eating disorders, deficiencies, storage of toxins, an emotional state that is a source of stress which can be the origin of many ailments.
It is often the vitality assessment which allows investigations to be directed.

IT IS BASED ON 4 FUNDAMENTAL PILLARS
1 - First, do no harm
Hippocrates emphasized it thus: "In the face of illness, have two things in mind: do good, or at least do no harm."
Suppressing symptoms can cause more harm than good. This is called "morbid transference": the cause is still there, its expression is silenced, it will return to another organ, generally amplified.
2 - Nature has its own healing power

A healthy body has a self-healing capacity within it that allows it to regain health on its own (homeostasis).
At the heart of the living organism are the life forces that enable this to happen. The therapist's role is to facilitate access to these forces by discovering and eliminating the obstacles that stand in their way.
3 - Discover and treat the cause
Hippocrates said "Look for the cause and treat it, look for the cause of the cause and treat it, look for the cause of the cause of the cause and treat it". The role of the naturopath is therefore not to try to act on the symptom but to go back to the cause of the pathology and act on the latter in order to restore the natural balance and ensure that the symptom no longer has to express itself.

4 - Teach
The naturopath teaches his patient the rules of how his body works and teaches him how to take care of it naturally. The rules of vital hygiene concern all areas of life and consider the interactions that exist between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes. Each plane must be taken into consideration to regain and maintain perfect health.
WHEN TO CONSULT? HOW DOES A SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Because prevention is truly the field of action of naturopathy, it is particularly relevant to go see a naturopath before going through a pivotal period (start of the cold season, start of spring with the arrival of allergies, etc.) to strengthen the terrain naturally and gently.

Duration of the session: approximately one hour.
I start by listening to you in order to determine the quality of your lifestyle and your diet, the regularity or intensity of your physical activity, stress or any environmental imbalance factors to which you are subjected.
At the end of this “examination”, I will recommend a schedule that I will send to you by email within 24 hours in order to provide natural solutions to the imbalances or inconveniences that you encounter.

Unlike a doctor, a naturopath is not authorized to treat you or physically manipulate you, but only to advise you to optimize your balance and well-being. He is therefore not intended to replace a doctor in the event of health problems or serious illnesses.
